Family Chiropractic

Chiropractic is a non-invasive, hands-on health care discipline that focuses on the neuromusculoskeletal system. Chiropractors use a manual approach to healthcare. They provide diagnosis, treatment and preventive care for disorders related to the spine, pelvis, nervous system and joints.

Chiropractors use a combination of therapies, all of which are tailored to meet the specific needs of individual patients. Your chiropractor will take a complete history and provide a diagnosis. Your chiropractor can then develop and carry out a comprehensive treatment/management plan, recommend therapeutic exercise, other non-invasive therapies, and provide nutritional, dietary and lifestyle counseling.

Many conditions, such as low back pain can be treated primarily with chiropractic. Chiropractic is also helpful in the treatment of other conditions as a complement or support to allopathic medical treatment by treating any neuromusculoskeletal aspects associated with the condition. Chiropractic care may also be used to provide symptomatic relief for patients with chronic conditions by treating the neuromusculoskeletal elements of chronic conditions and therefore improving the general well-being of the patient.

Chiropractic care is used to treat a wide variety of conditions including: Back pain, neck pain, headaches, whiplash, strains and sprains Repetitive Strain Injury (RSI), sports injuries, Arthritis, limited range of motion in the back, shoulder, neck or limbs, and general health and well-being. Our chiropractors are expertly qualified providers of spinal adjustment and other manual treatments.

What are orthotics?

"A custom orthotic is a device designed to align the foot and ankle into the most anatomically efficient position. They look like insoles, but are biomechanical medical appliances that are custom made to correct your specific foot imbalance. Custom orthotics work on your feet much like glasses work on your eyes - they reduce stress and strain on your body by bringing your feet back into proper alignment. The plastic body of the custom orthotic helps to re-align the foot by redirecting and reducing certain motions that takes place during the gait cycle. Custom orthotics fit into your shoes as comfortably as an insole - and they have the advantage of having been made from precise imprints of your feet."
