Dr. Peter Zubkewych, D.C.

Dr. Peter Zubkewych has been with High Park Chiropractic and Integrated Health Centre since 2008, and is passionate about helping patients attain their optimal wellness. In addition to traditional manual chiropractic techniques, his experience with a diverse set of modalities, including but not limited to, myofascial release therapy, therapeutic ultrasound, low-level laser therapy (LILT) and custom foot orthoics, allows him to work with patients to create a treatment plan that is uniquely designed for their needs and goals. His approach to care integrates soft tissue work, manual therapy, exercise/rehab, nutrition, and patient education in order to obtain long lasting, patient-centred results. Dr. Zubkewych attended Simon Fraser University on a football scholarship, majoring in Kinesiology with a minor in Biochemistry, and attained his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College (CMCC) in 2008. Raised in the Bloor West Village area, Peter is still an active member of the community and in particular supports local youth sporting programs. In his spare time Peter enjoys playing golf, working out at the local gym, and avidly supporting the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Dr. Andrew Miekus, B.Sc., D.C., D.Hom.

Dr. Andrew Miekus received his Honours Bachelor of Science from the University of Waterloo. He then obtained his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in 1993, at which time he joined High Park Chiropractic Clinic.  Dr. Miekus continually furthers his education by reviewing the latest research in such fields as laser therapy, anti-aging, the microbiome, adrenal fatigue, and ways to reduce the effects of inflammation on the body. 

 

Dr. Andrew Miekus has integrated his education and knowledge of chiropractic, custom orthotics, nutrition, and homeopathy in the treatment of a variety of acute injuries and illnesses such as sprains, strains, colds and flus, as well as more chronic conditions such as allergies, digestive complaints, fatigue, anxiety, and sleep problems.  As a former competitive volleyball player and runner, his knowledge and understanding of what it takes to achieve peak performance has assisted many athletes in achieving their goals. 

 

Dr. Miekus speaks fluent Polish and some Russian.  When he isn’t working, you will find him on the volleyball court, reading, and planning his next adventure to go scuba diving, hiking in the Himalayas, or visiting ancient sites in different parts of the world.  No matter whether you’re a young athlete, an octogenarian, or someone looking to stay healthy during their travel, Dr. Andrew Miekus can help you meet your nutritional and physical goals.

Yuriy Sapilo, MD (Europe)

Yuriy has extensive experience in both traditional and alternative medicine including Traditional Chinese Medicine and Homeopathy, and is familiar with a variety of Acupuncture treatment modalities including but not limited to EAV (Electroacupuncture according to Voll).

 

His broad training in both traditional and alternative medicine provides his patients with a variety of skilled and knowledgeable treatment options.

 

Originally from the Ukraine, Yuriy obtained his Medical Degree in 1996, a Certificate in Neurology in 1998, a Specialty Certificate in Homeopathy in 1996 and in 2006 Yuriy also obtained a Specialty Certificate in Acupuncture from the North-Western State Medical University named after I.I. Mechnikov in St. Petersburg, Russia.

 

He currently holds Russian Certifications in Neurology, Medical Acupuncture and Homeopathy, which allow him to continue his practice in Russia as a licensed Physician-Neurologist, Physician-Acupuncturist and Homeopath. In 2013 Yuriy graduated from the Canadian College of Holistic Health and obtained a Diploma in Acupuncture. Currently he holds valid Ontario licenses in both Homeopathy and Acupuncture.

 

Yuriy is fluent in several languages including English, Ukrainian, Russian, and Polish.

 

He is a Registered Member of the College of Homeopaths of Ontario, the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners and Acupuncturists of Ontario (CTCMPAO), and the Canadian Society of Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture.

Dr. Cathy Chilly, Ph.D.,

Registered Psychologist

Dr. Cathy Chilly is a Registered Psychologist, licensed to provide services in Clinical, Counselling and Rehabilitation Psychology. In her private practice, Dr. Chilly provides assessment and psychotherapy services to adults needing direction and support to meet life challenges, and also to those in need of rehabilitation (for injury or illness, including chronic pain).

Dr. Chilly attained her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at York University (Toronto) in 2004, after completing formal studies of psychological assessment, diagnostics, and psychotherapy treatment. She has teaching and research experience in the applied fields of Clinical and Rehabilitation psychology. Most notably, Dr. Chilly has over 20 years of practice experience in hospital settings, multidisciplinary clinics, and private practice.

High Park Health is Dr. Chilly’s secondary practice site. She joined the clinic in 2012 but has lived in and enjoyed the High Park community for over 25 years.

Dr. Chilly is a member of the College of Psychologists of Ontario and the Ontario Psychological Association. She practices in English and is also fluent in Croatian.

Sara is the owner of Mouth Matters. Sara’s 28 years experience as a dental hygienist, including the last 10 as a holistic nutritionist, and a graduate of the Bale Doneen Method, informs her clinical work as well as her consulting, public speaking, and has several published writings. Sara believes that an integrated, whole-person centred approach best serves our patients.

Debbie as the owner and primary therapist at Towns Colonic & Natural Therapies, brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to her practice located in Bloor West Village, Toronto. Her twenty years as a practicing Holistic therapist includes training in Vibrational Arts Sound Healing Therapy, and Reflexology, and certifications in Colon Hydrotherapy, Aromatherapy, Lymphatic Drainage, Reiki, Attunement and Eden Energy Medicine. She currently teaches Aromatherapy Lymphatic Drainage Massage to Holistic students at Transformational Arts College, and facilitates Drumming for Wellness programs with residents in long term care. Debbie is intuitive in her approach. She understands the deep connection between our physical, emotional, spiritual, and energy bodies and works with those principals to facilitate healing.
